Leroy huston innervisions

Leroy Hutson has been enjoying a career resurgence with regular London gigs over the past decade leading to renewed interest from UK audiences for the great man’s solo repertoire. Following his short sting as lead singer of The Impressions (following Curtis Mayfield’s departure), Leroy released t LP’s on Curtom Records between 1973 and 1979 . The excellent Acid Jazz label has been reissuing these treasure troves of soulful grooves, starting with an excellent compilation titled Leroy Hudson: Anthology 1972-1984 released last year and  have now embarked on a full reissue campaign of Leroy’s Curtom albums releasing “Leroy Hutson: The Man !!!”, “Closer To The Source”, “Huston”, “Hutson II”, “Love Oh Love” and “Unforgettable” over the last six months. The setlist at The Barbican on Thursday the 12th of July 2018 will include many of the classic tunes from these records and songs from Leroy’s most recent LP “Soothe You, Groove You”.

Tickets are available here.
