[Verse 1: Jung Kook]
내 안 깊은 곳의 a priori

[Pre-Chorus: Jung Kook]
Take my hands now
You are the cause of my euphoria

[Chorus: Jung Kook]
Euphoria
Take my hands now
You are the cause of my euphoria
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah (Oh)
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah (Euphoria)
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Close the door now
When I’m with you, I’m in utopia

[Verse 2: Jung Kook]
Won’t you please stay in dreams, yeah?

[Pre-Chorus: Jung Kook]
Take my hands now
You are the cause of my euphoria

[Chorus: Jung Kook]
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Euphoria
Take my hands now
You are the cause of my euphoria

[Bridge: Jung Kook]

[Pre-Chorus: Jung Kook]
Take my hands now
You are the cause of my euphoria

[Chorus: Jung Kook]
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Euphoria (Euphoria, oh)
Take my hands now
You are the cause of my euphoria
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah (Oh, euphoria)
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Close the door now
When I’m with you, I’m in utopiaI specifically like “Euphoria” among many BTS songs because it has a voice that’s between a very young boy and a very mature man. And that’s why I had a tough time recording it. I had to translate those emotions into the recording, and I went into it thinking that I have lost my original voice and I really didn’t know how to sing. And I think those emotions I felt translated well into the recording. After listening to the whole thing, I was like, “Wow, I really did a good job.”—Jung Kook via Rolling StonesIn a livestream RM (Rap Monster) said:I wanted to write the lyrics of “Euphoria”, but I didn’t take part a lot in the lyrics. I was all over the place during “FAKE LOVE” promotions. […] A lot of people helped [in] finishing the song. I supervised and changed a few words for pronunciation. I wrote the bridge part, and [also] “When I’m with you I’m in utopia”; “Utopia” and “Euphoria” sound similar, so I added that line.As for the line “저기 멀리서 바다가 들려” (“I hear the far-away ocean”), the original line was “I hear the far-away waves”. There is an animated film called “The Ocean Waves”. It’s a very romantic animation. I thought the vibe of the animation and the emotions of the song fit together. “I hear the ocean” is something you learn at school – synaesthetic imagery – so I changed it to “I hear the far-away ocean”, and I’m happy with the result.[…] Jungkook worked on the song with great affection. […] He re-edited the song so many times. […] The first time I heard the guide version of “Euphoria” – the lyrics and Jungkook’s recording – was almost a year ago.[…] By that time, I used to have some prejudice against Jungkook’s voice. He’s a great singer and has a great voice and all. […] I thought he lacked some colors in his voice. When I first heard “Euphoria” I loved the song and beat, and the lyrics were beautiful. […] He did really great, but it was a bit boring. I wanted him to put more emotion while singing the song.[…] I pushed Jungkook, saying, “You need to put your heart into this song […] Imagine you’re singing this song on the grass by the Han river while filming for some refreshing soda ad. Then you’ll be able to bring out more emotions. I’m not sure how much you are emotionally involved in this song, but I hope you blow people away through the song”. I told him, “How about you exaggerate more?” That is why Jungkook recorded this song for revisions 5 or 6 times. […] It turned out to be a perfect song. I can’t ask for more. The lyrics, melody and the artist. It’s kind of a magical song. “Euphoria” puts you in a euphoric state. […] “Euphoria” is a cool song open to a lot of possibilities. Jungkook aimed to make up for what he lacked in “Begin” through “Euphoria”. […] The song received so much love.

We’ve been ultra-blessed by JungkookGUYS – THIS IS A HINT TO BOTH THEIR COMEBACK AND THEIR NEW ALBUM IN THE LOVE YOURSELF SERIES. GET READY~~Such a great vocal with that high note 🎆✨@jiminiah agreed x10.I’m not ready, I’m still not over ly tear“Euphoria” was teased on April 6, 2018 (KST), in a YouTube video by BTS’ label, Big Hit Entertainment. The video was also a reference to one of BTS’ Korean albums, Love Yourself. It was then later included in BTS’s repackaged album Love Yourself: 結 ‘Answer.’The track is a general feel good song, depicting the happiness associated with young love and new beginnings. There are some underlying tones of feelings of how their love is fake and not based on attraction. This dream is a blue mirage in the desert
A priori deep inside of mea priori (Latin: “from the earlier”) is a phrase used to denote understanding or knowledge based on theoretical deduction. The term “a priori” comes from Plato’s ideas of how we interpret the world. He claimed that we know the world through a priori methods, meaning that we are born with the knowledge of certain things. Although it has recorded uses as early as 300 BCE, it was popularized in German philosopher Immanuel Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason, published in 1781. It is widely used in modern philosophical debates, often modifies the word “knowledge.” In contrast, “a posteriori knowledge assembles empirical observation. In the lyrical context, Jungkook questions his conscious, referring to a desert mirage. A mirage epitomizes a supposedly false a posteriori knowledge. Whereas you believe that you see an oasis, it is in fact an illusion fooling your eyes.He may be saying that what he has felt wouldn’t make any sense without observation. It could, fortuitously, reach their hearts, due to a fateful encounter.Euphoria is the amplification of pleasure, satisfying one’s essential biological or mental needs. The term derives from Ancient Greek — εὐφορία, as in “well to bear.” It’s semantically opposite to dysphoria. It is synonymous with elated joy, great feelings, intense happiness, and utopia, a world wherein everything harmonizes in perfect unison.Translation:Were you wandering around
Looking for an erased dream too?
It’s different from the typical definition of destiny
Your pained eyes are looking at the same place as me
Won’t you please stay in dreams”This verse suggests that the singer and the subject were initially attracted to each other because of a mutual understanding of each other’s loneliness and pain. Their relationship was formed out of a need for comfort, rather than genuine attraction. The singer appears to be somewhat aware that they are merely fooling themselves into an illusion of true love, but begs their partner to play along.By the next chapter of the story, the singer has either willingly or uncontrollably succumbed to the fantasy.
